Slick City Woodbury Review: Is It Worth It for Kids?

Slick City Woodbury ReviewSlick City Woodbury Review

If you’re looking for a new place in Woodbury to bring your kids and burn off some serious energy, Slick City Action Park might be worth checking out. Piper, her cousin and I visited the brand-new indoor attraction last month, and honestly, it was much bigger and busier than I expected. Located in Woodbury, Minnesota, Slick City features more than 52,000 square feet of slides, games, sports areas, and family entertainment. Whether you’re looking for a rainy-day activity, a birthday party location, or just a fun weekend outing, here’s my honest review from a local Woodbury dad’s perspective.

What Is Slick City Action Park in Woodbury?

Slick City Action Park Woodbury is one of the newest family attractions in the east metro, and it officially opened in February 2026. The indoor park is built around giant dry slides of all sizes, giving kids a high-energy experience without the water park setup.

The facility also includes dodgeball, basketball areas, arcade games, a café, and private rooms for birthday parties and events. One of the biggest surprises during our visit was just how large the space actually feels once you walk in.  For families living in Woodbury or the surrounding Twin Cities suburbs, this definitely fills a gap for indoor activities during colder months or rainy weekends.

What Ages Is Slick City Best For?

After visiting, I’d say the sweet spot for Slick City is probably kids between 5 and 14 years old.  Piper is almost 9, and there were a few slides she didn’t go on.  Her cousin, a year younger was definitely scared to try a bunch of the slides as well. There is a small area designed for younger kids under five, but personally, I wouldn’t make the trip just for toddlers because that section felt pretty limited compared to the rest of the facility.  Our son Drew who is only 4 would have for sure wanted to go on all the big slides like his sister.

For elementary and middle school-aged kids though, this place delivers a lot of variety. Some slides are fast and intense, while others are more approachable for kids who are a little hesitant at first. Between the slides, sports activities, and arcade area, there’s enough to keep different personalities entertained.

If your kids love movement, competition, and trying new things, they’ll probably have a great time here.

Is Slick City Worth the Cost?

One thing parents should know upfront: Slick City is not cheap. Tickets are sold in timed sessions, typically 90 or 120 minutes, and additional costs like arcade games, snacks, and drinks can add up quickly.  The 90 minute price was $28,99, and 120 was $33,99.  If you’re a first time visitor, you need to buy their socks which are also $4.99.

The two hours we spent there absolutely flew by. The kids stayed engaged the entire time, and there was enough variety that it never felt repetitive. Compared to some indoor playgrounds where kids lose interest after 30 minutes, this felt more like a full experience.

If you’re planning to go, I’d strongly recommend arriving early. We got there close to opening, and by the time we left around 11:00 AM, the place was already packed. Weekends especially seem to fill up fast.

A Great New Birthday Party Spot in Woodbury

One thing that stood out immediately was how well Slick City is set up for birthday parties and group events. The private party rooms are a smart addition, and the overall environment feels designed for high-energy celebrations.  For Woodbury families looking for birthday ideas beyond the standard trampoline parks or indoor playgrounds, this could quickly become one of the more popular options in the area.

The combination of slides, games, food, and activities gives parents an easy all-in-one venue without needing to coordinate multiple locations.  If your kids enjoy active experiences and inviting large groups of friends, Slick City definitely checks a lot of boxes.

Would we go again?

Overall, Slick City Action Park was a really fun experience and a solid addition to Woodbury’s growing list of family activities. It’s big, energetic, well-designed, and offers enough variety to keep kids entertained for a full visit.  Would I recommend it? Yes, and I think we will go back when Drew gets a little older.  I didn’t get pricing on birthday parties, but would consider that as well!
